The famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, who is known for her dancing numbers and hourglass figure, tied knots with beau Raj Kundra on November 22, 2009 at ‘Bawa Villa’, in Khandala. They were engaged a month ago and also jointly own stakes for a cricket team in the IPL. Pictures of the newly married couple circulated on the internet shortly after their marriage and soon became one of the popular searches of the day.

For her wedding ceremony, Shilpa Shetty was wearing a traditional saree of red and burgundy color. Sources stated that Tarun Tahiliani has designed the gorgeous wedding saree of the bride. The groom, Raj Kundra came in a well-decorated, horse drawn chariot and also donned traditional dresses. Dressed in a sherwani of maroon color, he wore a turban with Sehra to cover his face and had a sword in his hand. According to sources, Shantanu and Nikhil designed the wedding attire for Raj Kundra.

Though the marriage ceremony of Shilpa Shetty with the Raj Kundra was held in the small town of Khandala, glimpses of some Bollywood celebrities were caught on camera. Jackky Bhagnani and Rohit Roy were seen dancing in the marriage procession of Raj Kundra. Sources stated that Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty, who is the sister of the bride, also performed some skit for the occasion. More excitements are expected on the reception ceremony of the newly married couple. Their reception is scheduled on November 24, 2009 in Mumbai and would be a star studded affair, as many high profile Bollywood celebrities are expected to turn up to congratulate the couple.
